Embodying the elements

At the feet of the volcano, on the island of the wind, with its earthy colours and expansive ocean, we will gather to explore our connection to the elements within and around us.

As women, we are a reflection of the cosmos and are deeply connected to the Earth. Just like the Moon, we go through cycles of expansion and contraction and just like the Earth, we go through seasons within the month and within our life.

In this elemental retreat, you will be guided to remember your innate bond to mother Nature. The yoga practices will invite you to explore to the different qualities of the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether and recognize that you embody their qualities within yourself and can harness them when most needed.

At the feet of the volcano

This retreat will be hosted by the beautiful Casa Erbane, a beautiful villa hidden in a nature reserve in Lajares, a small town in the north of the island.

With its modern and minimalist style, the villa embodies the spirit of the region and with colourful and sophisticated decor, contrasted with raw and warm materials, nature is omnipresent in the house. Each space and bedroom has an incredible view of the volcano and peace of mind can be felt in every corner.

The villa consists of six bedrooms, all with ensuite bathroom and volcano view. You can choose between single occupancy (very limited availability), shared twin room or triple room.

Yoga and salty skin

Two yoga practices will frame our days. After a slow silent morning wake up, we will be meeting in the beautiful yoga shala with its magical window overlooking the volcano (or outside by the pool) and move through a dynamic vinyasa practice.

After a delicious plant-based brunch and free time spent enjoying the pool, exploring the town, relaxing at the beach, swimming in the sea, surfing or going for a walk in nature, we will meet again for a calming evening practice (restorative, yin or Nidra). Our days will end with a nourishing vegan dinner and time for connection.

Veronica will offer a Womb’s Wisdom special practice midweek and integrate elements such as sound and essential oils in her offerings.

Ruth, La Cocinera Saludable, will be our chef for this retreat. 

She prepares her dishes with so much love and the results speak for themselves. All meals (brunch and dinner) will be vegan with some vegetarian options and mostly gluten free and always prepared with fresh and high quality products. 

Refreshments will also be available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water and fruit.

Any dietary requirement can be catered for, just inform us beforehand!

Slow silent morning

8am - 10am : vinyasa yoga practice

10.30am - 11.30am : plant-based brunch

11.30am - 5.00pm : free time / beach / surf / volcano hikes / pool / workshop /massage

5.00pm - 6.30pm : evening yoga practice (yin yoga/nidra/ restorative)

7.00pm - 8.00pm : plant-based dinner

Note this schedule is just an example and can be subject to variation.

We start around 17.00 on the first day and end around 10am on the last day.

Your teacher and retreat leader: Veronica Santini

Veronica Santini (RYT 500) has been teaching yoga internationally for over a decade. She is certified in Vinyasa yoga and Yin yoga and is specialised in Yoga for Female Health, Menopause Yoga and Pelvic Floor Yoga.

Her teaching style has been infused by amazing teachers (such as Janet Stone, Tiffany Cruishank, Shiva Rea, Leslie Howard and Petra Coveney) to whom she is very grateful.

Veronica firmly believes that each student needs to feel empowered to practice in a way that feels authentic and good to them. She is the guide for you to find your own ways to approach yoga. Her style, thoughtful and precise, always aims to be non-prescriptive, so that you can make each and every practice your own inner journey.

What’s included

Five nights/six days in room of choice in luxury villa with salt water pool

All meals - morning fruit (before practice), abundant brunch, dinner, coffee and tea throughout the day, refreshments

Daily yoga, meditation, breathwork and somatic movement practices (vinyasa in the morning and yin/restorative in the evening)

*A taxi from the airport can be arranged for you at an extra cost. Once we have the list of participants and their arrival times, we will try and group them in taxis to make it more cost effective.
